Setting 1: Volcano event!

This week it is time for your characters to be volcano'd!

Today [this week IRL] will be overcast with heavy ash in the air, and very windy. Around 7:30AM, the island's mountain will begin pouring out ominous dark clouds very fast, followed by several loud, cannon-like explosions that shake the island a little as it jets hot rock and magma. Lava won't make it all the way to the beach, but you can expect to breathe in ash, and there will be danger from flying rocks and magma!

The eruption will last 2-3 IC hours. The ash will last the entire day, and any destruction from the eruption will have to be repaired before the end of the setting tomorrow [next weekend IRL]!

I don't know about the volcano, but I'd like for Bruce here to destroy a shelter! In my head I'm imagining the shelter as a few fairly largeish structures with like 3-5 people in each one, and when Bruce is startled awake by the cannonball noises of the explosion, I think he's going to give in and Hulk out.

This will result in the immediate destruction of the structure he's in, but he's otherwise going to be in control and not crazy rageful. He will still be super dangerous but he's not going to destroy anything in his path.

Buffy so needs to meet the Hulk. Tony will also make an effort to chill him out until he figures out that the Hulk is not out of control. 8D Or something! It'll depend a lot on how it goes lalala

If it were an earthquake, Chuck would probably be okay. But it's not, it's a volcano, and the woobie is going to freak the hell out. Think chicken with its head cut off. He'll be fine if someone firmly/gently tells him to snap out of it, and then he might be useful.

Hawke is going to think this is fantastic. Where are the marshmallows? (She's a little insane, really. Just ask her friends.)

... if someone could drag Lavi out of the way of any falling rocks and make sure he doesn't choke on ash, he will love you when he wakes up. Ehehehe.

Good for you, Hawke, out sociopathing my bb like that. Tony is not gonna be thrilled. (About the volcano. Not about the sociopathing. Do what you want, Hawke! Go ahead and be crazy!)

Buffy could be effective at helping Lavi but both she and Tony are gonna be looking for things they can do to help.

Allen is probably going to be looking after Lavi at the time of the eruption, so he'll probably continue to do so!

I'm cool with general scrambling for both of them, really. Tony and Buffy are both Californians, so they are cool with earthquakes as a general rule, but... yeah volcanoes. Not awesome.

Despite their differences, both my kids are going to be looking to do what they can to help where they can. Get people to safety, salvage what food and supplies can be salvaged. Tony is a totally normal human person and Buffy's super strength isn't going to help her against lava, so ooo this is gonna be terrifying and frustrating! :D

EFFIE WILL FREAK THE HELL OUT AND SCREAM AND CRY. I mean, she's hearing explosions and thinking it's the arena's death canon, so she'll probably think a good handful of people have died. And will keep dying. And ... yeah she will be absolutely no help. :( Except maybe once she is in whatever the designated safe place is. Then she might try to be her upbeat self. ...but really, she'll be scared for a good, long while if left on her own.

Pepper... I'm not so sure. :/ Lava might remind her of certain unpleasant events (because molten hot). So I think she might be torn between self-preservation and Extremis-boosted saving of people if at all possible, 'cause ain't no volcano going to stop her when she's burning at however many thousand degrees it was. Of course, if option B occurs, I see her trying to fight it because possible dying?? and such.

Neither Effie nor Pepper will be in the happiest place on volcano day, but Pepper will fare a LOT better than Effie. D:

Also I kept meaning to have him do a post that was 'okay let's get all the boring prep work out of the way we're ready for when people get hurt' but haha oops too late for that. He probably will still put up a thing offering aid and asking for assistants, though!
